WELCOME TO THE
Nature Nook
THIS WEEK’S PROMPT:
Find a peaceful spot in nature. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to ground yourself and focus your senses.
When you open your eyes, draw or write about the first thing that catches your attention. Describe the colors, shapes, and patterns you see.

My Art Studio Supply List
The most up-to-date list of supplies that I use regularly in my art practice*
Paper:
Arches 140 lb Cold Press (a pure delight to paint on)
Hahnemühl Bamboo Mixed Media (a more eco-friendly option)
Strathmore Watercolor Paper (a more cost-conscious option)
Sketching Supplies:
Willow Charcoal (Winsor & Newton)
Graphite Pencil Set (Faber-Castell)
Mixed Media Paper (here’s a nice one from Strathmore)
Watercolor Paints:
I make most of my own paints from natural earth pigments. You can buy them directly from my Etsy shop.
Note: Keep an eye out for emails announcing new paint collection releases. Because I make them in small batches, they sell out quickly.Watercolor Travel Palette (Winsor & Newton - 12 colors)
Note: Although I don’t currently use this set, I did a few years back, and it was the first time I experienced painting with a travel palette and higher quality paints.
Brushes:
…and assorted other shapes and sizes, from a 1/4” dagger brush to size 16 chisel brushes that I use on large pieces. However, all of my pieces are primarily painted with a number 4 or 6 round.
